Jason Pittman - Find out About the Author of Chicago Business Broker...
I
joined American Business
Acquisitions, inc. in 2006
while searching for a
business for my own family to operate.
I was immediately Impressed by Tony Gavros and Dennis Hansmann's confidential & discreet approach to valuing and selling businesses and in-depth, quality profiles of their businesseses for sale which set them far apart from other business brokers I had been meeting with.
During my search for an established business, I was surprised - and frustrated - by how little information was actually available about the businesses that many of these brokers were representing. In many cases the brokers had only a 'rough idea' what the business was actually making and had a hard time answering specific questions. What I ended up doing was wasting a lot of time looking at incomplete information with very little to verify the financial claims.
Looking for a something new and having never bought an established business before, I saw a unique opportunity to learn the brokerage business; to be mentored by seasoned pros in business valuation and acquisitions and at the same time learn the skills to accurately identify appropriate businesses to invest in myself, when the right opportunity presented itself.
I receive a lot of satisfaction from working with business owners. Entrepreneurs are a unique group of people who are the driving force behind our country's innovation and abundance and these are the people I like rubbing shoulders with, working with and learning from. Each client of mine is not only a customer with whom I provide a service, but someone who gives me insight into their own business successes and setbacks, teaching me things I can, in turn, apply to my own business.
I
reside in Glendale Heights with my wife Juliana, and our blue heeler,
Fade.
In our spare time, we enjoy renovating old properties, travelling, rock-climbing, spending time with family, volunteering with Dupage PADS, and playing frisbee with Fade.

In late 2007 we were able to spend almost an entire month travelling the Philippines. I encourage everyone to travel abroad and immerse yourself in a foreign culture at least once! It opened my eyes to what a diverse and interesting world we live in and really led me to appreciate the opportunities we have in this country.
